Private equity and search fund professional with extensive experience in turnarounds, special situations, and operator-led investing.
Former Partner at a Brazilian private equity fund focused on middle-market special situations, Caio sourced and evaluated dozens of opportunities and participated in full investment cycles from acquisition to exit. He also served as local CFO of an international mattress company and as a board member of portfolio companies.
Caio later became CEO of a payments fintech, scaling operations after participating in accelerator programs in Brazil and the United States.
He is currently a Partner at Grit Capital, a Brazil-focused permanent capital investment platform, where he leads deal origination, diligence, and transaction structuring, with a long-term focus on partnering with and building high-quality businesses.

Chandler Payne
Managing Partner
10+ years of experience in M&A and private equity, with direct involvement in deal execution, capital structuring, and board participation across Latin America.
For more than a decade, Chandler has worked on the evaluation, structuring, and monitoring of acquisitions and investments, with hands-on involvement in negotiations, capital structure design, and board-level engagement.
He served as Vice President at Albright Capital Management, where he led investments in Latin America and participated in full investment cycles from acquisition through monitoring and exit. He also served as a board member of HedgePoint Global Markets, a global company headquartered in São Paulo.
Previously, Chandler worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Falconi.
He is currently a Partner at Grit Capital, with a focus on long-term partnerships and building enduring businesses.
Chandler holds a degree in Business Administration and Finance and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University. He is based in São Paulo and focuses on long-term partnerships.
